Skip to contentThe best time to make a spare key is before you need it. If you still have one working key, duplication is usually quicker and less expensive than an emergency. We’re mobile in Tracy and can often cut + program spare keys (including many transponder keys and some smart keys) when supported. We keep it simple: confirm compatibility, then you test the spare before we leave.
Why a spare
Losing your last key turns a small problem into a bigger one. A spare key is usually the lowest-cost way to avoid an All Keys Lost situation.
If the original key breaks or gets lost, you’re not stuck. You can keep driving and deal with replacement on your schedule.
Modern keys can be expensive, especially push-to-start. Making a spare while the system is “known-good” often avoids surprises later.
Process
We verify what key/fob your vehicle uses and what’s supported.
We cut when needed and program the spare to your vehicle system.
You test start/lock/unlock so you leave with a working spare.
