Need the car to learn a fob?
Programming is the software side: a transponder chip, a remote, or a smart key that the immobilizer does not recognize yet. It is not a lockout, and it is not automatically “I need a brand-new fob in a box.”
When programming is the actual job
You have a fob that looks correct, or a key that turns but will not start. The blade might be fine. The car still needs that transponder or remote registered. That is programming. If you have no fob at all, you may need replacement plus programming — say that clearly.
Transponder keys vs remotes vs smart keys
A chip in the head of a regular key, a separate door remote, and a proximity smart key are three different conversations. Local programming searches can mean any of them. The year, make and model plus whether the car is push-button sorts it.
What we will not pretend
We cannot honestly program a random marketplace fob with the wrong identifier. Compatibility comes first. If the part is wrong, programming time will not fix it.

My key turns but the car will not start. Is that programming?
Often that is a transponder the car does not recognize. Send the vehicle details. It can also be a mechanical or vehicle issue we are not claiming to diagnose from a website.
Can you program a fob I already bought?
If it matches the car. Bring the part and the year, make and model. If it is the wrong FCC ID or a fob still married to another vehicle, we will tell you rather than bill you for a miracle.
