Working key vs none at all
If a spare still starts the car, you are not in an all-keys-lost job. Adding another key while one still works is usually simpler. When nothing turns the ignition or wakes a push-button car, we are originating and programming from the vehicle itself — not cloning a blade on a counter.
Why year, make and model decide the job
All-keys-lost is not one SKU. Some cars can be originated on site with the right equipment. Others need a part we have to confirm. A few we will decline. The year, make and model is how we sort that before anyone drives to you.
Regular key vs push-button start
A traditional keyed ignition and a push-to-start fob are different systems. If you are not sure, say so. Guessing “it’s just a key” on a proximity car wastes a trip. If you know it is a push-button car with no fob, say that in the first message.
Proof the car is yours
Be ready to show registration, title, or a bill of sale when we meet — especially on a fresh used-car purchase. We do not make keys for vehicles people cannot show they have a right to.
Do I need to tow the car if I lose every key?
For many domestic and Asian vehicles, no. The point of mobile service is to do the work where the car already is. Towing to a dealership is still an option you can choose; it is not required just because the original key is gone. If the vehicle is one we cannot do, we will tell you that instead of pretending a tow magically fixes coverage.

Often yes — that is what all-keys-lost work is. It still depends on the vehicle. Send year, make and model and say you have no working key.
Do I need to tow my car if I lose every key?
Not for many domestic and Asian vehicles we can do on site. Confirm the car first. Do not spend money on a tow until you know the job is actually a dealer-only problem.

Often. Bring proof you have a right to the vehicle, and send the year, make and model ahead of time.
I still have a spare in a drawer. Is this still all keys lost?
No. If a key still works, say you need a spare or a replacement. Save the all-keys-lost path for when nothing operates the car.
