Need the locks themselves replaced?

The hardware is the problem: a deadbolt that sticks, a worn knob, a lock you do not want on the door anymore. Changing locks is installing different hardware — not only handing you a new key for the old cylinder.

When replacement is the right job

  • The lock is damaged, rusty, or will not throw the bolt cleanly
  • You want a different grade or style of lock
  • You are tired of mismatched keys and want new hardware keyed alike
  • A rekey will not help because the lock body is done

What we need to know

How many doors, roughly what is on them now (deadbolt, knob, lever), and the city. If you already bought locks, say so — we still need to see whether they fit the door prep. We are not a big-box aisle; we also are not going to install the wrong bore and call it done.

Not a commercial hardware project

This is residential doors. We do not advertise commercial storefront hardware, panic bars, or access control. If the door is a house or apartment entry, you are in the right place.

Questions people ask before they call

Can you just rekey instead of replacing?

If the lock still works mechanically, rekey is often enough. If the lock is failing, replacement is the honest path.

Do I need to buy the locks first?

You can. Or describe what you want and we can talk through it. Do not assume every smart lock or decorative hardware set fits every door.
